Pres. Marcos together with his family fled the country on February 25, 1983.  He was exiled to Hawaii until his death on September 28, 1989. Marcos ever so nationalistic, often wondered who would succeed him. never in his wildest dreams did he imagine that Corazon, the widow of his arch political rival Benigno Aquino, a plain housewife will be his successor.
